Welcome to Anglo American Optical. We’re a trusted retro eyewear designer with a long history. We value creativity, style and sophistication, quality materials and the integrity of our family business. We sell to opticians. This is our story.

Our frames are made of lightweight acetate, which is based on cotton or tree pulp. It’s an all-natural hypoallergenic material that ensures there is very minimal chance of a reaction.

Besides the youth of today, those who have been loyal customers for 40 years or more, and everyone in between, our frames have been worn by Kim Basinger in the 1989 Batman, Christopher Reeves in “Superman”, Diane Keaton in “Annie Hall”, Barry Humphries, Dame Edna, Woody Allen and Elton John, and many others we are proud to have served.

Dispatch Services

Shipping Times

We aim to dispatch all stock orders within 24 hours, however on specific products fulfilling orders may be extended to five working days. 

For prescription orders please allow one week after order has been placed.

A tracking number will be provided at dispatch.

Delivery

All online orders are dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked Services (alternative method offered if strike action). We aim to dispatch your order within one to five working days, this allows us adequate timing to ensure your order is fulfilled.

International Deliveries will be dispatched via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed Services or UPS. Please allow 7-10 business days for handling time. Tracking information will be forwarded to you once your order has been dispatched.
